Bug Spray

Fight nature with nature in this hands-on tincture workshop. Come, take a short herb walk to learn plants that help repel bugs, and create your own Bug Spray to take home.

What To Expect

When you arrive you will be directed to a parking space.  You can head into the classroom area and put your items down or hang outside while we wait for the rest of the participants.  We will start in the classroom with a discussion covering bug-repellent plants. Then we will head outside to harvest some of these plants.  We will bring this back into the classroom to mix with dried plants and ethanol to create our bug spray. Each person will make their bug spray in the provided 4 oz jar.

Take Homes

4 oz of macerating Bug Spray Tincture in provided containers and a handout of what we covered in the workshop.

What You Need To Bring

Clippers, Notebook, Pen, or Pencil

Level Of Activity and Skill Needed

Designed for beginners, no prior herbal or plant experience is needed, so you can jump right in! This workshop is two hours long, and most of that time is spent standing, walking, and creating herbal products.

Min age of guests

This workshop is geared toward people 13 years of age and older.
